HiFlyer 2003 Season Assistant Coach
Brandon Paulson
Brandon had to step down as head
coach in 2002 due to family demands (2 daughters) and his business obligations with
his father. Brandon has generously
agreed to continue to help coach our kids in this program and he has been
involved with the HiFlyers both as a wrestler and coach for over 10 years. Brandon Paulson has been coaching the
HiFlyers for ten years. In 2002 Brandon stomped through to another US
title and qualified to represent the USA at the 2002 World Team Tournament in
Iran which USA chose not to attend due to death threats to our wrestlers. In 2001, Brandon qualified for to represent
the United States at the World Wrestling Championship in Greco-Roman Style and
placed second, taking a silver medal for the United States. In 2000 Brandon was a US National Greco
Roman Champion and qualified the US Olympic team his weight. He has
had a distinguished career to date capped off by his silver medal in the 1996
Olympics for Greco Roman. He was an NCAA All American wrestler for the
University of Minnesota, and a three time Minnesota State Champion.
