Greco Inferno is pleased to start its second year as a Minnesota USA Wrestling training site at the Orono Middle School wrestling room.  Last year, we had seven regular wrestlers and five placed at the national tournament in Green Bay, WI.  See www.OronoWrestlingClub.org – Greco Inferno Tab.  This is a tremendous opportunity for kids to come and learn Greco Roman wrestling from 1996 Olympic Greco Roman wrestler, Dave Zuniga.

 

Dave will teach kids the following:

 

Greco Safety – Dave will teach kids to minimize the risk of season ending injuries.

 

Greco Rules – Dave will work through his ideas and strategies to take advantage of these new rules.

 

Greco Technique – Dave will go through and teach the moves that made him successful in world competition.

 

Greco Mental Awareness & Toughness – Dave will make sure the kids are mentally ready to compete at the national level.

 

Greco Nutrition – Dave will share his and the U.S. Olympic Team nutritional ideas with the kids to optimize performance.


Practices are Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:00. 

April 23, 30,          May 14, 21, 28     June 4, 11, 18      (Week Nights may be added)

 

Dave will be attending and coaching the Greco State (May 7th), Greco Northern Plains in Madison, WI (June 15) and Greco Nationals in Green Bay, WI (June 29th)


The cost is $50 and you need a USA wrestling card.  If you do not have a card, you can order online at https://webpoint.themat.com/wp/Memberships/Join.asp for $30.

 

Pinnacle Wrestlers fee will be $30, since they will miss several sessions.  If you have similar issues, please contact Jeff Martin at 612-600-1785.

 

Greco Inferno singlet will be available for $40 and in time for State Tournament.  This is not required if you already have a red and blue singlet.  They will be camouflage red or blue with white sides with hand sown Greco Inferno on one side and GI JOES on the other.
