Home Meets are schedule to begin at 4:15 and away meets at 4:30

November 21 - Scrimmage & Parent Night (Small Gym)

Come watch your wrestler compete in a “real” match, meet the coaches, and learn more about wrestling. Start time will be approximately 4:15 and end time approximately 5:30.

December 9 Wayzata Team Tourney

We will be competing in a 16-team tournament at Wayzata High School and will be competing as a combined team of MME and MMW wrestlers. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 12 noon. Transportation will be provided to the meet, but not home.

January 5 - Middle School Night (MME and MMW wrestlers) at MHS

MHS hosts a “quandragular” at 5:00 p.m. We’ll tour the wrestling room, meet the coaches and some of the varsity wrestlers, and will then watch the high school team compete. We will be introduced some time early in the evening. There will be no admission fee and pop/popcorn will be provided. Concessions are available if wrestlers want more food. Transportation will be arranged to the HS, but students will need to arrange for their own rides home. The meet will go late, and wrestlers are free to go whenever they need/want to.

January 8 End of Season Party

Families are welcome to attend!!! Here’s the plan:

4:00-4:20 wrestlers turn-in their equipment

4:20-5:15 Party/Awards

· Pizza, pop and dessert for all

· Honoring of wrestlers for their season

· Awards presentation

January 21 Fieldtrip to the University of Minnesota:

This is an excellent opportunity for our wrestlers and their families to see college wrestling at its best. The U of M’s wrestling team is ranked #1 in the country this year and has been one of the top teams in the country for the past number of years. We will be watching them take on the Penn State University at Williams Arena – a very exciting match to see. We will board the bus at approximately 12:00 p.m. We will stop at McDonalds for lunch and will receive a tour of some of the UM athletic facilities by UM wrestlers. The meet begins at 2:00. The bus should be back at MHS around 4:30 p.m.
